English Theatre Club

Our 3rd and 4th grade primary school students enjoyed “Snow White” by the English Theatre Club on 20th March.  It was a part- puppet show part- live performance, and the children had fun taking part in the play as dwarfs, soldiers and forest animals.  They danced and sang along with the actors!  It was a great opportunity for them to practice their English!

On the same day, our 5th and 6th grade students watched “The Princess and the Pea” based on the story by H.C.Andersen and interacted with the actors with great enthusiasm! The story was about a prince who wanted to marry but his mother disagreed.  She only wanted him to marry a real princess who had to be beautiful, clever, sensitive and sweet. The audience had a wonderful time dancing with the actors and performing the role of the 3 “Princesses”, who came from different parts of the world, to be chosen for the Prince.   Samiha, our guest from France was Princess Carbonara from Italy and two of our students were the Arabian and the Greek Princesses but none of them married Harrold.  Only a sensitive woman who found the Pea under the mattresses was the real Princess and she married the Prince!  Our students were delighted with the acting and the chance they were given to use their English!
